At its special meeting on January 9, 2023, the municipal council unanimously adopted a strategic planning process. Following a request for proposal, consultants JGV Consultants Inc. were selected to accompany the new municipality.
To get the new town off on the right foot, the council needed to hear people's opinions on a series of issues that would help guide the town for the next five years. Seven public meetings, including four in the municipality's neighborhoods and three on specific themes, were held in the spring of 2023. This series of consultations brought together over 300 people to find out the population's needs and expectations, identify priorities and give a voice to the citizens of this new local government. A survey was also published on the municipality's website to allow citizens to present their opinions and suggestions.
The municipal council of Champdoré unanimously adopted the strategic plan for the next five years at its regular meeting on November 21, 2023.
The development of an operational plan is underway with the administrative team to implement the priorities identified in the strategic plan. An annual update will demonstrate the results achieved and review priorities.
